"Feel Better" bag
They're very easy to make, you pop them in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes, and you have an (almost!) instant heating bag that feels wonderful on those sore muscles, and, if you have a cold, on your chest.

What you'll need is:

a piece of flannel, approx 32" long by 6" wide.
bag of rice
dried herbs, such as eucalyptus, peppermint, wintermint, lavender wintergreen and/or eucalyptus essential oils

Fold the flannel over, right sides facing, so that you have a long "loaf" like shape - 16"x 6". Sew up the long sides, leaving the end free. Turn inside out, so that now the right side is facing out.

Fill almost half the bag with rice (sorry, forgot what size bag to buy, but bigger than the "regular" size) -- the cheaper the better, you don't need expensive rice for this! Add a small handfull of each of your herbs and a few drops of oil to the mix.

Turn the loose ends inside the bag about an inch, and zig zag stitch across the ends, closing up the bag. Shake to evenly distribute the contents.

When not in use, for easier storage, hold up the bag so that all the contents fall to the bottom, and fold over the excess over the bag.

To use, unfold the bag, evenly distribute the contents throughout the bag, and microwave for 2-3 minutes. Apply to whatever part's ailing you. You'll be feeling better in no time! Do try to avoid getting it wet, however, or you'll have one gooey mess on your hands!
